The Long Way was my first release and it was a mod for Half Life 2. This mod is very original because of many new weapons and features, but mapping is very poor. So, the game had negative comments... I just wanted to remake it and develop a REAL The Long Way as a game, with modern GFX and mapping!
Story:
After surviving a very big explosion, and walking on the top of the
PHOL_LABS, Mihail finally returned to Earth. He found himself in an
abbadonned town Dolgoprdniy, something strange happen in the town in
last 14 days. He found a message that all survivors must go to the train
station, locatatd in the center of the town. Now he wants to live this
horrible and strange place! He knows about the airport, located far from
Moscow and he wants to drive there on a train.
This part of game is finished, but I didn't build the airport map.
The gameplay of the next part of game will depend on Half-Life 2
universe, and it's about the combine's invasion, and seven-hour war! I
wanted to add TV, computer and radio int his game, but I think it's not
possible if I don't know how to mod Half-life 2 DLL binaries.
A was planning to build this game nonlinear, but there is only one
storyline in this unfinished mod! If you liked this game, you can
continue modding it!

Story:
In Russia, Three years before the events of HL2 on the Earth weren’t
combines. In Russia was a civil war, because the president of Russia
betrayed his country and refused to help citizens in Russia. In the
suburban town Dolgoprudniy our hero - Mihail Sergeevich Antonov
(Mihalych) lives. He is working in the ruined school, where he studied
when he was young, now transformed into a Research lab. One day, in
Dolgoprudny, the bombing started, and nearly the whole town was ruined,
but Mihail survived. After 3 hours of a horrific daze from shell shock,
he came back to reality. He now wants revenge! Those Bastards destroyed
nearly everything he knew.
